Focus managing broker Joe Phillips dives into a subject that’s on all of our minds as parents. How can we help our children become “athletes for life”? We all know that most people won’t make it to the pros in their chosen sport(s); however, how can we continue to encourage athletic habits in our kids which will help them throughout their life?
I grew up in a small town in Wyoming where everyone I knew participated in every sport the school offered. I think back to all the snowstorms we had to drive through, the amazing victories, heartbreaking defeats, and memories as well as lessons learned that will last a lifetime and have definitely impacted my life for the better.
Recently, I interviewed Steve Harmon of Jaeger Investigation Services. Steve is a Beeler Park resident and security expert. As we all know, property crime seems to be on the rise in Denver. Steve helps break down what we can do to make ourselves less of a target and discusses how crime prevention really begins with you. One thing (amongst many) that make Steve such a great guy to know is he doesn’t sell any security equipment. He is a consultant whose expertise allows him to individually help families protect their homes. Next week Steve and I will be doing an interview which talks specifically about security systems. Stay tuned!
As the weather is getting colder, it’s good to know some local Stapleton places where kids can get their energy out inside, and parents can relax indoors. Check out Focus team member Amy Atkinson’s article with all the details!
New Build Update!
Lennar Homes has some great inventory in the northern section of Stapleton. These homes are available in November and December! Lennar is also offering a lot of incentives with these homes. These homes are all Next-Generation homes (a mother-in-law apartment with separate entrance built into the home).

There are currently 52 active resale listings this week. These homes range in price from $246k to $1.25 million. Not seeing anything in the resale market that interests you? This week we saw nine homes go under contract. The average time frame for homes to go under contract right now is right around 4 weeks. However, the average price point is higher this year than last. Right now the average price for a home in the 80238 is $556,250.
