This winter we’re grateful to be hosting family for both Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house in Stapleton! Although hosting comes with it’s own work, I much prefer that over having to travel long distances around the holidays. While our friends and family will be in town we’ll be looking for things to do that will entertain all the kids. We recently found Hammond’s Candies, a local candy making company that has been in business since 1920. Hammond’s offers free tours of the factory where you get to watch them make the candy and it has an amazing shop where they sell all their goodies plus all kinds of other candies and ornaments. It’s the perfect place to take friends and family while they’re in town for the holidays and kids will love it! The tour is just 30 minutes then you’ll probably spend that same amount of time in the retail shop justifying why you need to purchase so much candy!
The tours run every half hour Monday -Friday 9AM – 3PM and every half hour Saturday from 10AM – 3PM. They are closed on Sundays. They are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. No reservations are required.
Hammond’s is located at 5735 N Washington St Denver, CO 80216. For more information on the company and the free tours click here.
So hope you get a chance to check out Hammond’s this holiday season. Enjoy!
